Bowker’s GlobalBooksInPrint.com Named Exclusive Provider of Bibliographic Data for 2006 London Book Fair
Company Announces Plans for “Win a Weekend” Drawing During Event

New Providence, N.J. - February 23, 2006 - Bowker, the global leader in bibliographic information management, today announced that its GlobalBooksInPrint.com Web resource has been selected for the third consecutive year as the official database partner of the 2006 London Book Fair.

In recognition of its selection, Bowker will provide free access to GlobalBooksInPrint.com for attendees at the Fair. Visitors will be able to discover complete bibliographic details on more than 14 million books, audio books and videos by searching the global database according to 30 powerful criteria. They will also be able to browse Bowker’s unique “Publisher Authority” database, which contains company and contact information for more than 200,000 publishers worldwide.

“In addition to providing free access to our GlobalBooksInPrint.com database during the event, we’ve also created enhanced publisher listings for London Book Fair exhibitors that will feature the publisher’s stand number at London Book Fair and provide the ability to link to the publisher’s official listing on the London Book Fair Online Directory,” said Angela D’Agostino, vice president of marketing and business development at Bowker. “We’re delighted to return as London Book Fair’s official database partner again this year and we’re confident that our involvement will provide maximum exposure for the hundreds of publishers who will be exhibiting at the show. As part of our focus on providing the highest quality data possible for the Fair, Bowker will be accepting new publisher submissions and title updates at www.BowkerLink.co.uk until March 1st for inclusion in GlobalBooksInPrint.com.”

“We’re pleased to be working with Bowker again as our database partner,” said Emma House, exhibition manager of London Book Fair. “Partnering with Global Books In Print helps us increase the visibility of our exhibitors while delivering enhanced services and content to our attendees.”

According to D’Agostino, Bowker will also be hosting an exciting prize competition for attendees at the London Book Fair. Anyone who visits the Bowker stand (Stand Q450) and attends a brief information presentation will be eligible to register for Bowker’s “Win a Weekend” competition. At the end of each of the three days of the event, a drawing will be held and the grand prize each evening will be £500 in American Express Cheques to use toward a weekend getaway to Paris, London, Rome, Madrid or any other city of choice. Winners need not be present for the drawing.

The 2006 London Book Fair, the world’s premier springtime publishing event, will be held March 5-7, 2006 at ExCeL London. For more information, go to www.lbf-virtual.com.
