Oxford University Press to Join PubEasy
Academic and Education & Children’s Divisions of Oxford University Press to join PubEasy UK and International bookselling community
New Providence, N.J. - March 12, 2007 - PubEasy®, the global enquiry and ordering service for the book industry, announced today that Oxford University Press, the world's largest university press, will join the growing e-community of booksellers and their suppliers in the UK and International market."We are extremely pleased to welcome Oxford University Press as a PubEasy Affiliate," said Charles Halpin, General Manager of PubEasy. "The addition of Oxford University Press books will expand upon our initiative of offering instant access to the world’s greatest English language titles to all bookstores around the world. We look forward to supporting Oxford University Press’ commitment to supplying its customers with state-of-the-art service into the future."
“Our customers have been pressing us for some time to use PubEasy so personally I am delighted that OUP have now come on board” said Andrea Wood, Head of Customer Services at OUP. ”A significant number of the calls we take are Price and Availability checks, and becoming a PubEasy affiliate means that not only can we provide a better service to customers, but it also means that we can release time spent on these routine queries for more value-added activities. It is particularly valuable for our overseas customers where time differences often mean a significant delay in answering what should be a very quick and often time-critical query”.
When Oxford University Press goes live in April 2007, titles serviced via their UK distribution facilities will be available to registered booksellers with a PubEasy password for ordering and enquiry needs. Booksellers who wish to receive free access to PubEasy, simply go to http://register.pubeasy.com and register online. Registered booksellers and distributors will be able to check price and availability and place orders with Oxford University Press twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week from anywhere over the World Wide Web.
