Bookstore Manager Partners with PubEasy to Provide Christian Retailers with Access to Additional Major Trade Publishers

New Providence, N.J. - July 11, 2007 - PubEasy, the global inquiry and ordering service for the book industry, today announced that it will be providing users of Bookstore Manager’s point-of-sale system with realtime access to price and availability information from the largest trade publishers in the world.

Bookstore Manager is a robust POS and inventory management system used by more than 1,500 independent Christian retailers nationwide. The agreement with PubEasy was announced to Christian publishers and retailers this week at the 2007 International Christian Retail Show, being held July 8-12, 2007, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

The newly integrated PubEasy content adds real-time checks of publisher price and availability through Bookstore Manager’s “StockCheck” feature. The additional imprints added by PubEasy are as follows:

  • FaithWords (Hachette)
  • HarperOne (Harper Collins)
  • Howard Publishing (Simon & Schuster)
  • Penguin Praise (Penguin Group USA)
  • Waterbrook Multnomah Publishing Group (Random House)

Moreover, PubEasy will provide Bookstore Manager users with the ability to instantly check order and shipment status with these publishers.

The new capabilities complement Bookstore Manager’s inventory management and electronic ordering capabilities already integrated with Bowker’s Pubnet EDI service.
