I'm a retailer -- how do I join Pubnet?
Fill out the bookstore agreement and retail registration and fax them back to Bowker at 908-219-0195. There is a one time cost of $75 for this service. We also require that you have a SAN (Standard Address Number) in order to process your registration. CLICK HERE to access the agreement and registration forms. Once these forms have been processed, you will receive a welcome letter with all of your login information for your POS System. CLICK HERE for a list of approved POS Systems. Yes. If you are in the US Trade or Higher Education market, you can use our Pubnet Order Wizard for retailers. (This service is not currently available for Christian or Canadian bookstores.) Which publishers can I send orders to thru Pubnet?
CLICK HERE to download a monthly updated list of all US Publishers who participate in Pubnet. Or CLICK HERE for a more extensive publisher/supplier list, including imprints and other details about each publisher. Will my normal discount apply to orders placed using Pubnet?
Yes, when you place orders using Pubnet, your existing trading terms are automatically applied. You may also receive additional discounts from some publishers for using Pubnet. To see which publishers offer this discount, visit our publisher/supplier list and look for the special discounts icon (  ). How quickly will I receive a confirmation for my order?
Pubnet mandates that all publishers respond to a Purchase Order with a Purchase Order Acknowledgement within 24 hours. We also have some Rapid Response Publishers who will respond within 15-30 minutes, and also some Instant Response Publishers who will respond within 1-2 minutes.
How can I tell if my orders have reached Pubnet?
Pubnet utilizes DCTS (Document Cycle Tracking Service), which can show you all activity in your Pubnet mailbox for the past seven months. Are there additional charges for Pubnet Rapid Response, Pubnet Instant Response or DCTS?
No. These services are all included as part of your one-time membership fee. Where do I go if I have a problem?
