| David Campbell to Manage Bowker’s Canadian Supply Chain Accounts |
|
New Providence, N.J. – May 2, 2007 - Bowker, the global leader in bibliographic information management, today announced that David Campbell has been appointed to manage the company’s supply chain accounts in Canada, adding to his responsibilities for the Christian book market in the U.S. He replaces Seán O’Neill, who left the company to pursue a career in Canadian law enforcement. In Canada, Campbell will be responsible for managing and developing book publisher accounts for Bowker’s customers in the Canadian market, including the management of relationships with large retail chains, technology vendors and industry organizations. “We are in the process of rolling out electronic trading (EDI) on Pubnet in the Canadian higher education market as well as working closely with the Canadian publishing industry on the development of an e-commerce system for the Canadian school market which we plan to release later this year,” said Charles Halpin, general manager of Bowker’s supply chain group. “David’s supply chain experience and knowledge of Bowker’s Pubnet and PubEasy products make him an ideal candidate to take on this important role in Canada.” Campbell joined Bowker in May of 2005 from Lifeway Christian Stores, where he managed supply chain operations for the leading retail chain. Campbell is based in Nashville, Tenn., and will continue to report to Halpin in New Providence, N.J. About Bowker |
